Highest Summit for a Cheeseburger in Georgia

We vacation in Helen, GA every couple of years. It’s a beautiful area with mountains, rivers, and waterfalls. There are plenty of summits around here, so all you summitcheesers out there, this is a great place to log a bunch of summitted cheesburgers.

Brasstown Bald at an elecation of about 4780 above sea level has a fire tower, observation deck, and museum all sewn together at the top. Once we got there, we made a beeline. For the observation deck. We circled the deck looking fir the perfect vantage point to photgraph our event. We settled for a southeasterny view toward Mt. Yonah. We chose Yonah, as that’s the mountain we climbed on our 15th annoversary a couple of years ago. That hike brings plenty of memories. Too bad we didn’t known about this summit cheese thing back then. Maybe someone will beat us to this summit, but we’ll get to it one of these days.

That’s about it for now. We’ll back with more summits soon!
