Mount Van Cott – A Newcomer Summits

Definitely a mellow start to climbing the Summit Cheese ranks, but a start nonetheless. Really nothing of too much interest occurring on this one, a simple jaunt up the mountain, although being eyeballed for at least 40 minutes by some sort of turkey vulture or something during the assent. Took a few pics of the cairn off to the right, around the scrub brush, of the summit, and a rear view after starting the knee pounding descent back toward the JCC. All in all, an easy day with beautiful weather.
