Gildersleeve – The 1st Eastern U.S. Peak!

Glacial23 wrote in with the news that he had Cheeseburger summited Gildersleeve Mountain in Lake County, Ohio (see his post here). This marks the first summitcheeseburger peak in the eastern half of the U.S. and brings the number of represented states up to 7 (California, Colorado, Ohio, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming). I also hear that people have eaten Cheeseburgers on a summit in Texas recently – I look forward to the post.
Glacial23 is the first hiker to come to summit Cheeseburgering by stumbling upon our site rather than being cajoled by a member of the existing group of hikers. I hope that you enjoy the combination of high mountain adventure and the pleasure of a fine Cheeseburger and hope that Gildersleeve Mountain is but the first of many Cheeseburger Summits that you will scale. To achieve our stated mission (Cheeseburgers on all peaks on Earth), we will need the help of you and many others.

Welcome glacial23,
I grew up in Ohio (Parma) but never knew about Gildersleeve Mountain. Looks like a good place to eat a Cheeseburger. Hope you can add a few more Ohio summits to your list.
Paul
