Grandeur Peak (8,299) – Hot and Hazy

Grandeur Peak, along with Twins and Lone Peaks, make up the major Wasatch peaks that overlook the Salt Lake Valley. This hike up Grandeur was wonderful – many flowers were in bloom and while quite warm it was still bearable. Lizards were scampering over the trail and we heard of several rattlesnakes on the trail from other hikers; but we didn’t see any – too bad, we wanted some pictures. Of course, we brought, and ate, Cheeseburgers (see below), after all that is the whole point. It occured to me that in our desire to achieve as many Cheeseburger summits as possible we’ve neglected the Cheeseburger in all this. Where are the blackened cajun Cheeseburgers; coconut Thai Cheeseburgers; sausage gravy and grits Cheeseburgers? Well, maybe next time. Ronny Mac’s Cheeseburgers; Marion, Paul.
